I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
