A long-serving FBI intelligence specialist has initiated a legal case stating his terminated because of exhibiting a rainbow symbol within his desk area.

Unexpected Firing Before Finish

In the past months, Maltinsky was accepted into the bureau’s agent course in Virginia, until what he called “unexpected firing shortly before finishing”.

The filing additionally states that later subsequent to the 2017 inauguration, another employee raised an alleged concern to Maltinsky’s direct supervisor regarding the exhibition of the LGBTQ+ symbol.

In a statement released this week, his legal representative Kerrie Riggs remarked, The current leadership’s unlawfully firing him forms part of a larger campaign to remove government departments of staff that possess different viewpoints, or belong to marginalized groups, or those who oppose bias.

“David’s fight goes beyond his situation, but about securing the rights and freedoms of every government worker.”

The bureau refused to respond regarding the case.
